Our interest in maple syrup started when we noticed our uncle next door boiling sap on propane burners outside. Every evening after that we kept an eye out to see if we could watch. Sugaring was in our blood now, and that same year we tapped our own trees and started boiling. I still remember how excited we were!

My dream is to one day have my children working me alongside me to provide you with our family’s delicacy.

Somero’s Story:

My brother, Peter, and I started Somero Maple Farm in 2008 when we boiled our first batch of maple syrup over a campfire in the backyard. We were just 14 and 12 but our passion for making a quality product hasn’t dimmed. The family has grown over the years and now our wives and children are helping to produce this delicious maple syrup.

Our sugar house has continued to expand to meet the needs of our customers. We implement some of the newest technology in the maple industry, while still sticking to some of the good old-fashioned traditions like collecting with buckets and boiling on a wood-fired evaporator. Besides making maple syrup we also make maple sugar candies, maple cream, and maple sugar.
